Sir Cyril Roe Muston Young Bt., M.I.C.E. (1881-1955), a civil engineer, was in China from 1915. He worked for Butterfield & Swire, constructing wharfs and godowns (warehouses) in Hong Kong and Shanghai, until he retired in 1940. The collection includes negatives, being photographs taken in China, UK and Borneo in the 1930s; loose photographs; and a family history book: 'A Family Kaleidoscope' by Michael Young (2010).
