Nigel Spry

This collection consists of slides, photographs, negatives, books, personal documents, and archaeological reports relating to Hong Kong and Macau (Macao). A total of 2,720 colour photographic slides were taken and captioned by Nigel and his father. A tiny number of commercial slides, known as Longevity Colour Slides, were also found. Most of them focus on Hong Kong’s cultural heritage, while a small portion relates to his families and friends. The collection includes a file containing his personal documentation, along with several books related to Hong Kong. The photographs mostly date from the 1960s, the period 1981 to 1984, and 1987 to 1989, with no photographs from the 1970s.
